Meet the Conductors

   
 

Rebecca Windschitl

Rebecca Windschitl has taught music for 33 years with emphasis in violin, viola, cello and bass. She earned a bachelor in Music Education from Truman State College, Kirksville, MO, and completed additional course work at the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, University of Nebraska, Omaha, Truman State and Morningside College.

She was named "1995-96 Teacher of the Year" by the Iowa String Teacher Association and "Outstanding Music Educator" at the World of Music Festival in Minneapolis in 1999 and 2001. Rebecca is a recipient of the Governors Volunteer Award and 1996 Adult Service Award. Disney Teacher of the Year Nominee, 2000. She is a co-chair of the Iowa Junior Honors Orchestra for Iowa String Teachers Assoc. She has been guest conductor at City Festivals for the Council Bluffs School System and music director for 24 musical stage productions and guest conductor for Des Moines Schools All City Festival.

She is a member of the Iowa String Teachers Association, Iowa Music Educators Association, American String Teachers Association and National School Orchestra Association. Rebecca directs The Perfect Fifth, a quintet she founded in 1987. The quintet performs at area social and community events and weddings. Sophisticated String Trio is a newly formed group within the studio. She recently directed the pit orchestra for the Carroll Community Theatre production of "Seussical." Recently, Rebecca was accepted into the Cambridge Who's Who, a global networking company.

Jacki Montgomery

Jacqueline Montgomery

Jacqueline Montgomery holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa, a Master of Arts Degree in Music Education from the University of Iowa, and has completed additional work in the Doctoral program at the University of Iowa.

She taught instrumental music education for seventeen years in both public and parochial school systems, before assuming a position in the business sector. Jacqueline owns Sound and Service, a retail electronics store, located in Carroll. She maintains a private studio teaching brass, woodwind, and percussion students, as well as serving as a guest conductor and clinician in area schools.  Jacqueline also serves at the choir director for the First United Methodist Church in Carroll.

Jacqueline has been guest conductor of the Karl King Honor Band, the Sioux City Diocesan Honor Band, and the Carroll Community Theater’s production of “You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown.”
